Swing Shift: Mon-Fri 12:45pm to 9:15pm Pay Rate: $20-25 depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Assist with paperwork, respond to email and phone inquiries from internal sources
- Prioritize orders and the picking of orders according to the required due date or as directed by a lead person in customer service or upper management
- Is responsible for picking and packing orders to be ready for on time shipment
- Access and accurately utilize the Materials Resource Planning (MRP) System, specifically with regards to shipping.
- Obtain freight quotes when required
- Use of hand truck or pallet jack to load and unload, move or stack materials or products
- Prepare responses and follow up on Production meeting Open Order report
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management
Must Haves: · Hands on experience with international shipping for hazardous materials (packaging, labeling, preparing shipments, and hazmat declaration paperwork)
Requirements:
- High school graduate/college education preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in same or associated field/Good communication skills required
- Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple Math, write legibly and follow both verbal and written instructions
- Familiarity with computers running under Windows operating system and using Microsoft Office
- Must be punctual with good attendance and safety habits and be effective working as a member of a team
- Have working knowledge of the UPS/FedEx systems as well as preparing freight on pallets
- Have or become training in the following areas for the shipping of hazardous materials: 49CFR, DOT, IATA, IMDG
