When Jehad Qatesh arrived in the UnitedStates two years ago, she was unable to speak a word of English. She learned to
speak the language by reading newspapers and committing to learn 200-300 words
per week using Google Translator.
Jehad learned about JobTrain through her husband, who works
as a taxi driver. When Jehad expressed interest in becoming a medical
professional, her husband encouraged her to make an appointment at JobTrain. He
had recently dropped a student off at JobTrain and inquired about the
organization and quickly learned about its quality and free vocational training
programs.
Jehad was amazed by the educational experience and excelled
at her studies. She graduated with her CNA license and is now working at
Sunrise Senior Living, located in Palo Alto. Her ultimate dream is to become a
Professional Health Care Worker instructor at JobTrain.
